Weekly dinner gathering for those who fast on Thursdays in Alnor Senter.

Alnor Senter is organizing dinner gatherings every Thursday night for the brothers who are fasting on Thursdays. Dinner will be served shortly after the Maghrib prayer.

It is recommended by our beloved prophet Mohammed (saw) to fast on Mondays and Thurdays. We hope that this gathering will be an encouragement for Muslims to practice this sunnah which has great reward.

Hadith's on fasting:

1256. Abu Hurayra reported that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Actions are presented on Mondays and Thursdays, so I like my actions to be presented while I am fasting." [at-Tirmidhi]

Aishah related ” The prophet may Allah bless him and grant him peace used to fast on Mondays and Thursdays”. In an another hadith it is said by prophet may Allah bless him and grant him peace that ‘A man's deeds are raised up to Allah on Mondays and Thursdays, and I prefer to be fasting when my deeds are reported.”

In the Quran:

O you who believe! Observing As-Saum (fasting) is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you, that you may become Al-Muttaqun (the pious). Al-Baqara Verse 183.
