MAGNUS GJERDE LØNNEBERG FROM RED CROSS IS COMING TO ALNOR SENTER FRIDAY 3. FEBRUARY, AT 12.30 (AFTER JUMAH PRAYER) TO SPEAK AND GIVE INFORMATION ABOUT THE COURSE. ALNOR SENTER IS SUPPORTING THE INITIATIVE AND HOPE MANY OF TROMSØS MUSLIMS WOULD LIKE, AND HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO PARTICIPATE ON THIS COURSE.

WHAT IS STREET COUNSELING?

Street counseling in Tromsø is a network of trusted adults, and for young people in vulnerable positions. Across organizations,agencies and the roles we strengthen young people's own resources by educating young people in constructive conflict management. If communication breaks down, the Street Counseling Network can participate in mapping the conflict, dialog and reconciliation work. Our goal is to prevent violence and crime.

WHAT DOES THE COURSE GIVE YOU?

Introduction to the conflict life cycle and favorable consequences of conflict.

The knowledge needed to recognize the conflict of different steps and actions you can take to break a negative trend.

Practical conflict modification tools: Nonviolence Communication, conflict mapping, conflict mediation and knowledge of the circle method.

Introduction and practical training, conflict workshop methodology.

Introduction and practical training, recruitment to the conflict workshop, and planning of conflict workshop.

Instructor status in the Street Counseling Network of Tromsø.

Opportunity for further training in Red Cross Street Counseling.
