The concept of developing the network cafe for women in Alnor Senter has been an exciting and fun process for those involved. The network cafe stands as a new, original and exciting meeting place for the women of Tromsø, despite age, etnisity, lifestyle and faith. An place to make new aquaintances and to inspire each other on ways to contribute and improve a positive develpoment of the multicultural society. Responsible for the running and organizing of the network cafe is the Zamzam committee , a committee in the Alnor ladies section. Every month a new theme is implemented, and after a short lecture by a special invited guest, an open dialog is held on the theme. In January the main theme was solidarity with Palestine, and 3 active ladies from Palestina committee gave a lecture and told about their committment for Palestine. In February needlecraft was the main theme, and the leader for Tromsø husflidslag brought a wide selection of needle work for display made by creative Tromsø women. Main theme for March was minority women – and Vibeke Ek, leader of Arbeiderpartiets women network in Troms, held a lecture about minority women – participation and integration. Network building is important and open up many new possibilities for cooperation. The women who have attended the Alnor network cafe has already a great amount of new network friends, and for each time they expand their knowledge about various activities and courses available in Tromsø. In April the main theme will be on Multi Religious harmony and respect in society, and the Churchvarden, Kristin Meløe has been invited as a special guest. We hope many women of Tromsø have the opportunity to visit Alnor's network cafe on Saturday 25. April to focus on a new and exciting theme as well as expand their circle of acquaintances. The introduction will start at 13.00. Insha Allah.
