A response to Tone Jensen's editorial "hatred against us"

On Saturday 10th of July 2010 a journalist named Tone Jensen wrote in the regional newspaper Nordlys the article "The hatred against us." Here the newspaper's most important column (and front) is used to spread the claim that "virtually all terrorists these days are Muslims." She further explains why and how Muslims are terrorists and what we must do to prevent this. The claims are based on serious factual errors and are without references.

Saturday 05 June was End of term for Quran and Arabic lessons for children at Alnor Senter. The children gave performances with nashids and Quran recitations.

New Mosque in Alta

Yesterday opened a new Mosque in Alta. It's Ismail Omar from Kurdistan who has organized the premises for the city's Muslims. The new premises are almost twice as large as the previous mosque premises, known as the Bay-kiosk.

The seminar on the development of alcohol-free environments gathered nearly 60 people, mostly Muslims, in the 3rd floor of Driv Student House, Friday, 30 April. It was a rewarding, inspiring and productive evening, in spite of the unexpected disturbance of high music and delays.

Arctic Ramadan Documentary film

The documentary film Arctic Ramadan will have premiere at Tromsø International Film Festival 19. January 2010.  This film was made in Tromsø and much of the filming was done at Alnor Senter.
